La Manzanera by Alicia Waite

On Monday, on the way to Alicante airport after a family holiday, we stopped at Spanish architect, Ricardo Bofill's La Manzanera, to see what for a long time seemed like a computer-generated, or imaginary Instagram dreamscape, in 3D. The complex, which now houses niche holiday homes and residential flats, features the famous La Muralla Roja (or The Red Wall) within a collection of bizarre and colourful buildings inspired by science fiction.

Having been deluged with tourists, the residents are understandably pretty touchy about strangers getting too close, so I used the opportunity to try out the Olympus 75mm lens on my PEN-F and shot from outside the walls. One day i'll try and break in.
